Is John a psychic or a medium?
John is both a medium and a psychic. Every medium is a psychic, but not every psychic is a medium! A medium is someone who receives information and communicates with a person who has passed over to the spirit world. A psychic is someone who can perceive a person’s energies and emotions, but can’t necessarily make contact with the spirit world.

Does John see or hear spirits?
It really depends on the spirit John is communicating with. He can see, hear and feel spirit. John will sometimes smell or taste things spirit will project to him.

What does John experience during a reading?
At first it is very subtle, John might sense a spirit energy. As he connects to that spirit, more feelings, images and voices come through. The stronger the energy of the spirit and the connection to the client, the stronger the communication

When did John first discover his ability?
John was a born psychic and medium. As a young child, he would be visited by spirit apparitions. It took John a while to discover that most people did not have this ability.

What is the format or style of John’ s readings?
John has a no-nonsense, down-to–earth approach. He has the ability to connect to the other side and bring back information to help people’s lives in the here and now. John receives information from your loved ones that have crossed over and/or spirit guides, but insight and information is always the main focus. Spirit may share information about your material, emotional, spiritual and mental well-being.

Do I need to do anything to prepare for a session?
There are many ways for a client to make sure they get a great reading! Over the years John has discovered ways for clients to improve the chances of hearing from the person they wish to contact in the spirit world and/or to have spirit get the information they need.
After you have made an appointment, our office will send you an email on how to get a great reading. It gives information for newcomers who have never had a reading from a psychic or medium before, and if you have had a reading before, it will help clarify the process so you can get the most out of your reading.

Can I have a reading by mail or email?
John does all readings over the phone or in public demonstrations. To truly have a strong spirit connection, the personal emotional connection is important. Email or mail doesn’
t provide for that.

Should I tell John who I want to hear from in the spirit world?
No, while in session John asks you not to tell him who you want to hear from. If that spirit does come through you won’t be able to truly validate it, because you already told him. The preparation information that our office emails to all clients before a session helps you to bring in the spirit without sharing the information with John. It is important that you know the information is really from spirit!
Sometimes when clients call our office to book a session, they will tell the staff or leave a message sharing the information of what spirit they want to come through in the session. Please don’t do this because it does not give you a chance to validate the information that comes through in your session.

Will questions be asked of me during a session?
It is important not to freely give information. Unless otherwise asked, only answer “yes” or “no” or “I understand” or “I don’t fully understand”. Saying much else will defeat the purpose of validating the information that is really coming from spirit. On the other hand, it is important to stay open. You have to remember it is a three-way conversation and giving “hmm” answers will not do. You’ve got to interact and be open!

Can I ask questions during the session?
The spirit world knows just what you “need” to hear! After John has connected to you and shared what he has received, whatever time is left can be used for questions.

When spirit comes in during the session can I ask questions?
Some say communicating with spirit is like trying to talk through a three-inch, fogged glass wall with spirit on one side and the medium on the other. It takes a tremendous amount of energy from spirit to just come through with validating information. With most mediums, it is a one way conversation. The opportunity to answer questions will depend on spirit themselves.

How can I guarantee to hear from the spirit I want to?
A medium can’t honestly ever guarantee who will come through or what information will come through. Preparation before a session will greatly increase the chances, though. Our office will email you information on how to prepare for a session.

Can a medium call the dead?
Mediums don’t have special powers over spirit. Some might think spirit works for the medium, but in truth the medium works for spirit. On the other side, they have free will just like on this side. Some people that come for a reading may want to connect with a specific individual but instead may get someone else they were not expecting or even their spirit guides. There isn’t a special red phone to use or a 1-800-Call-The-Dead Line!
A perfect example is one client that came to John was sure his mother would come through. He was sure that his mother was around him 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If his mother was around him 24/7 while on earth, then maybe she would be the same in spirit, though as you might have guessed, his mother did not come through. His aunt did! Sometimes the specific spirit you wanted to hear from might not be in position to communicate, but they may send another spirit that is able to at that time. There is truly no guarantee what spirit you will get. Keeping that in mind, there are ways to prepare for a reading that will help increase the chances of hearing from whom you want.

Can John communicate with a spirit that didn’t speak English?
Yes, during a session or a public demonstration, John works as a mental medium. This means that he communicates through the power of thought. He receives images, feelings and words. In a sense, the thoughts become a language of their own for a medium.

What if I feel a little nervous or scared about going for a session?
One of the things that spirit seems determined to do is to prove that life continues after the transition of death. Spirit comes through to empower and uplift us. John has never been afraid of the spirit world and finds the energy of it to be a naturally uplifting experience.

Has John ever connected to a spirit that a client couldn’t identify?
There are many times John has connected to a spirit that a client could not identify. John calls it psychic amnesia. When he tells clients to go home and do their homework, nine times out of ten they end up identifying the spirit.

What is a psychic?
A psychic is someone who can pick up information and energy about a living person. Psychics may perceive information about a person and their situation.

What is a medium?
A medium communicates with spirit people on the other side. All mediums have psychic ability, but not all psychics have mediumistic abilities.

What is a psychic medium?
Psychic medium or psychic-medium is a newer term that has come about over the last 20 years. Most individuals that use this term work fluidly between their medium and psychic abilities during a reading.

Is it possible to develop my psychic abilities?
Yes, everyone is born with a certain level of psychic ability. As with every talent, certain individuals are born with more of a propensity than others. But we all have some level of it and can learn to develop it.

Can anyone learn to communicate with the spirit world?
Most people in their lifetime has had at least one experience with the spirit world, where they may have seen, heard, felt or dreamt of a person on the other side. The ability can be acquired with proper education, training and many years of development. Most mediums are born with the ability and show signs of it early in life. Though not everyone is suited to be a medium, we can all learn to develop a clearer connection with our guides.

What are the psychic and mediumistic senses?
In addition to the five physical senses, we have complimentary psychic and medium senses. For example, with your physical sense of sight, you see the world around you. With mediumistic sight, you see people in the spirit world. With psychic sight, you see a living person’s situation energetically.
Clairvoyance - “clear vision”
Seeing objects, colors, symbols, people, spirits or scenes with your mind’s eye projected by the spirit world or perceiving psychically. A medium or psychic might get a snapshot picture or short clips of video shown to them.
Clairaudience - “clear hearing”
Hearing sounds and words from the spirit world or perceiving them psychically. Sometimes a medium or psychic will hear sounds, words or complete sentences.
Clairsentience - “clear feeling”
A medium will sense feelings and emotions from the spirit world, or psychically from a person. Think of a time when you had an initial first impression of someone you just met, and after getting to know them better you find that your first impression was correct. Traditionally smell and taste (clairscent and clairgustance) fall under the category of clairsentience.

What is mental mediumship?
In mental mediumship, the mind of the medium is utilized to receive information, images, words, feelings, etc. All of the information a mental medium receives comes through their mind and their body. top
What is physical mediumship?
Physical mediumship happens externally from the medium’s body. Everyone near the medium can see, hear or feel it. Sometimes when spirit wants to communicate, you will hear sounds like knocks or raps on the wall. top
What is a trance medium?
A trance medium has the ability to go into a deep trance state almost like a sleep state and allow spirit to work through their body. The medium’s conscious mind will not be active or aware of the process as spirit works through the medium.

What is a channeler or trance channeler?
The term “channeler” or “trance channeler” is often used as a catchall phrase for anyone who works in receiving information. These terms should not be confused with trance medium because the information received can’t be validated.

ABOUT THE SPIRIT WORLD
Where is the spirit world?
The spirit world is not above us or below us but is actually all around us and some might say within us. Everything is made up of energy and vibrations. The vibrational energy of our physical world is slower and denser than the spirit world. The spirit world vibrates at a much higher and faster rate!

What is a spirit guide?
A spirit guide can be person who has crossed over to the other side who has achieved a certain level of clarity and chooses to come back to help assist individuals. Some may call them angels, guardian angels or some other religious figures.

Does everyone have a spirit guide?
Yes, everyone has at least one spirit guide if not more. As an individual develops spiritually, they may attract additional spirit guides, each with their own unique ability.

Will spirit give predictions?
It has always been John’s experience that spirit has an interest in empowering people, which includes future events. Spirit will always try to guide us, but the choice and design is ours.

Is spirit around us all the time?
They have a life on the other side, just like they did here. They are doing their own learning in the spirit world as we are always growing. It takes a tremendous amount of energy for those who have crossed over to lower their vibration and make a connection to the physical world. But they are often there when we need them most.

Will spirit help us from the other side?
Spirit can provide their love and support just as if they were here physically with us. They can be there to assist with our growth and learning experiences, but cannot make decisions for us or act on our behalf. That is the responsibility of the individual who is here on earth.
In one of John’s sessions, a man’s brother came through. The man was excited to talk to his brother. The man wanted his brother to tell him if he should sell his business. The brother could not make that decision for him, it was not his place. We are born into this life to live it ourselves, spirit can’t do that for us.

Why does spirit come back to communicate with us?
There are many reasons spirit will come back to communicate with us. They will come back to say they are fine and still exist on the other side. People that you are close to on this side will still be close to you when they are on the other side. During difficult times, spirit will try to come around to console you. Spirit will usually come through to recognize special events in your life, attributing to the fact they are still with us.

Do people change when they cross over to the other side?
Our personality continues after the transition called death. In almost every connection John has made with a loved one that has crossed over, they appear to be the same as they were here. In reality, they have the same personality.
When we cross over, we do not become an angelic being of pure light. Though, just like on earth, as an individual grows, change occurs. Spirits have more of an opportunity to progress at a faster rate than here on earth.

Does it matter what my faith is when it’s my time to I cross over?
Almost all religions and belief systems have an after-life. It doesn’t really matter which one you follow, though if you believe in an after-life, it makes the transition process easier. We all cross over, whether we like it or not. Acceptance of this fact will just make our transition smoother.
